90 Second Microwave Keto Bread

This 90 Second Microwave Keto Bread recipe is my go-to Keto bread recipe. It’s easy, fast and filling, and it only takes 90 seconds to make obviously, as the title said. Eat and enjoy it with your favorite Keto spread. This Keto bread is perfect for breakfast when you are in a hurry and in need of a slice of bread that is low in carbs but great for egg and bacon.

Making Keto bread in the microwave is so quick and easy, and it only includes 5 ingredients; almond flour or coconut flour, baking powder, salt, egg and olive oil. That’s all you need, apart from a mug or a ramekin, a microwave and a fork. I personally use, a square sandwich lunch box to make 90 Seconds Microwave Keto Bread instead of a mug, and I like mixing all the ingredients with chopsticks instead of a fork. That’s only my personal preference, you can always use what you already have or what you prefer.

How to Make 90 Second Microwave Keto Bread?

Use a microwave-safe mug, ramekin or sandwich lunch box for this recipe. Add all the ingredients; almond flour, baking powder, salt, egg and oil or melted butter. Mix them all together. Tap on a counter a few times to release air bubbles. Microwave for 90 seconds and voila!!! You have Keto bread that is easy, quick and low in carbs.

  • You can also bake in an oven-safe container for 10 minutes at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • To make this less eggy tasting, you can omit the egg yolks because that’s where the egg taste comes from. Use only egg white.
  • To remove any air bubbles before you cook it by tapping it a few times on a counter.
  • You can substitute almond or coconut flour to any nut flour. Some people are allergic to some nuts. Alternative flours like pecan flour is good too, use 3 tablespoons. If opted to use coconut flour, just add 1 1/2 tablespoon as coconut flour is very absorbent.
  • For this recipe, you could use any containers that are microwavable; 4 inches in diameter ramekin or mug or 4×4 sandwich lunch box.

Nutella Microwave Mug Cake

It is raining today and it’s a great time to hibernate, watching your favourite movie and eating a warm chocolate hazelnut microwave mug cake. It’s nothing easier and faster than that if you are craving for a chocolate cake. It’s so simple to do and very easy to make. It’s just a mixture of a few ingredients, mix, mix, mix, and voila, you can eat some sweet treats that quick on this kind of weather.

Chocolate hazelnut microwave mug cake is a mixture of cocoa powder and some hazelnut spread preferably Nutella. Nutella is the most delicious hazelnut spread in my opinion. Some other brands are just too sweet for me and others are not even made out of hazelnut. Saying this, I remember I want to make my own hazelnut spread in the future… that’s one of my “make my own” list along with peanut butter, almond butter and cashew butter. I have tried making strawberry jam before but I have no time to do other fruit jams as I think it’s easier to buy in store LOL! One of these days, I’ll make my own blueberry jam as this is one of my little boy’s favourite jams to put on buttered toast for breakfast. Hhhhhmmmm yummy!!!

Anyway, after my Nissan Skyline GTR Car Cake which is nearly a week ago, I haven’t done any baking. I have given my oven a chance to rest for all the hard work. After all, appliances are getting tired too you know. So for now, I’m just making a very quick cake that doesn’t involve my big oven. This time, I just need to bake this chocolate hazelnut microwave mug cake in… the microwave of course, you got it right! You’re so clever, microwave is not a given clue. I didn’t give you any hint about that. Would you believe you can make a cake, a chocolate cake for just under 3 minutes? Yes, you read it right… 3 minutes. In some microwave, it’s even just 2 minutes. It depends on the microwave and the power you are using so make sure you try it on the least amount of time first and continue to add more minutes if you think your cake is not cooked yet. Some microwave mug cake takes 5 minutes but for my microwave it’s just 3 minutes.

Here’s the recipe for the Chocolate Hazelnut Microwave Mug Cake:

3 Tbsp plain flour
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp Nutella
1 tsp sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil
3 Tbsp milk

1. Combine all the dry ingredients in a large, greased mug.
2. Add the wet ingredients and whisk together well with a fork.
3. Once all combined and free of lumps, put it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
4. If desire, top with whipped cream when cooled.
5. Share and enjoy this chocolate hazelnut microwave mug cake to your family and friends!
